Everyone should drink a fair amount of water each day. Of course that amount would vary with body weight, physical activity, and so on.

Perhaps you are not one that really thinks much about how much water you drink daily. Fruit contains a lot of water and of course has other health benefits. So fruit is a very good bad breath remedy.

Change The Way You Eat

Another solution to minimize your chances of needing a cure for bad breath is to decrease the amount of meat you eat and increase the amount of fruit and vegetables. I’ve read and heard many times that most people consume more protein on a daily basis then the body needs. Meat, eggs, fish, and seafood all contain high levels of protein. The bacteria that live in our mouths eat protein also. So when we eat protein we also feed the bacteria in our mouth. The waste products these bacteria leave from digesting protein can certainly cause bad breath.

I’m certainly not suggesting you quit eating meat, eggs, fish, and so on. Just make sure you clean your teeth, gums, and even your tongue well after you eat. This is a simple yet very effective bad breath remedy.
